Ranch Days
Summer 2007Ranch Day Overview
Ranch Days usually consist of a nature hike, horseback riding, BBQ lunch, petting zoo, craft activity (depending on the age range), S’Mores and small group discussion in Tee Pee Town. We incorporate lessons on nature, fitness and self esteem into every Ranch Day. Except where noted, all times are from 10am-4pm

Volunteer Opportunities
Animal Ambassador
Help our Ranch Day Youth learn about the animals on the ranch, feed them, monitor petting zoo activity
and provide tours.
BPR Mentor
Usually at the end of the day, mentors sit with youth in small groups to provide insight on their life
experiences, career and offer advice. We try to “match” the mentors to the needs and issues relevant to
the kids. For example, a group of girls on probation with a very successful reality tv producer who was a
teen mom and came from a dysfunctional home. This year, we will also have follow up communication
through letters and check ins.
Ranch Day Rover
Ranch Days are wonderful and fun, but there is always the behind the scenes work that needs to be
done. From filling gift bags to setting up for lunch, there is always something to be done!
If you would like to volunteer for one or more of the Ranch Dates, please contact Tracy Yassini at
tracy@bonyponyranch.com or 562.754.4459.
